About the NCC Unit

Motto & Aims of NCC

• Motto: Unity and Discipline (एकता और अनुशासन)
• Aims:
  • To develop character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, and ideals of selfless service among young citizens.
  • To create a human resource of organized, trained, and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life, including the Armed Forces.
  • To provide a suitable environment to motivate youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

Core Training & Activities

• • • Institutional & Parade Training:
      Regular on-campus drill sessions, weapon training fundamentals, map reading, military history, and theoretical instruction conducted in proper NCC uniform.
    • National & Regional Camps:
      Cadets are selected and deputed to prestigious training camps, including:
      • Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC)
      • Special National Integration Camps (SNIC / EBSB)
      • Army Attachment Camps, Thal Sainik Camps (TSC), and Republic Day Camps (RDC).
    • Social Service & Community Development (SSCD):
      Active cadet engagement in nationwide and civic outreach initiatives, including:
      • Tree Plantation and Environmental Awareness Drives
      • Blood Donation and Health Awareness Camps
      • Nationwide Civic Campaigns (Har Ghar Tiranga, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Disaster Relief Assistance)

Certification & Academic Incentives

• • ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate Examinations: Cadets undergo intensive two-to-three-year training, qualifying them to appear for official NCC ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate exams conducted by the Ministry of Defence.
  • Career Benefits: Holding NCC certificates offers direct recruitment advantages in the Indian Armed Forces (Direct SSB entry schemes), State Police services, Paramilitary forces (CAPFs), and weightage/relaxation in higher education admissions and government recruitments.
